Taste of the Tea

Latrice - Part One
David's place smelled like sandalwood and citrus. Familiar and unfamiliar all at once. They stood too close. Talked too much. Laughed like people trying to convince themselves they were still in control.

When they kissed, it felt less like a decision and more like gravity.
After, Latrice lay awake staring at the ceiling, the weight of what she'd done settling slowly, deliberately.

Brown Eyes

Tuesday Run
A woman walking near the court looked up suddenly.

Marcel planted hard, shoes skidding loudly against concrete as he reached out instinctively to stop himself from crashing into her.

His hand caught her waist gently while the other steadied her arm.
For a brief second, everything paused.
Her eyes met his immediately.

420 Moments

Toni
Later-quiet now-she stepped onto the balcony wrapped in a towel, hair still damp. She took out the joint she'd rolled the night before, perfect and patient, waiting. She smiled at it like an old friend.

"This one's been calling my name all day," she said softly

Casual Connection

Part One
We live in a time where connection is everywhere-but commitment feels optional. Texts replace conversations "Hanging out" replaces dating. Situationships replace clarity.

Many people say they're in relationships, but what they really mean is they have consistent access to someone. That distinction matters more than we're willing to admit.

Before Dusk

By the time dusk began to settle, the train was in motion again, no stop announced. The valley outside had darkened into long shadows and silver-green leaves, the sky bruised purple and orange.

Dawn kicked off her shoes and curled up on the couch beside Chris. "I don't want this to end," she said softly.
