She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully.

AJ Madison has just come back from caring for his grandfather during hospice. The last 4 years had AJ focused on the actual moment of each day. He did that so he could care for his grandfather and not allow too many distractions.

AJ placed most of his life on the back burner. He came across the country to allow his grandfather to transition in his own surroundings. This meant holding off on some dream items and that placed AJ in an occasional funk.

His breath of fresh air was his girlfriend. Every moment they found for themselves was spent doing a video call. Those were the highlights of his day.

AJ is able to put his grandfather to rest and get back to living his life; at least that is the plan. And the plan is great on paper, but it is a little sluggish when it jumps off the page and sets foot on the actual ground.

AJ comes back with a few things on his list that he wants to get accomplished as soon as possible. The first thing is to ask his girlfriend, Dawn, to marry him; and she is just as excited to do this as he is.

AJ and Dawn are getting a wedding gift that is amazing. They are getting a house. This is another item on AJ's list of things to do to get his life on track. The house is great. It just comes with a little extra something.

Just In Time
Lee Thompson is an old school guy. He doesn't really get into a lot of today's technology. LT is not on any social media platform. He does not even maintain an email address. Quite a few of his friends refer to him as a dinosaur.

Lately, Lee has recognized he might be falling a step or two behind in a few areas in his life. so he has been thinking about getting something that can help him with his day to day activaties and such.

Lee's wife reminded him that his phone can do a lot of what he needs done on a regular basis. he just needs to enter the information into the phone.

Of course, not admitting it, Lee is not comfortable messing around with his phone. He makes and receives calls on his phone and that is it. Adding some information on the phone is a bit out of his range.

The holidays rolled around and Lee's son came by to deliver a special gift, just for his dad. He brought by a smart watch. He designed and built it just for his dad. Drew, Lee's son, is an engineer.

This watch is designed with a very powerful chip inside of it. Drew works for a defense contractor. He mistakenly used the wrong chip and created a very powerful watch with great capabilities.

A Mile Away
Kevin and some friends have an idea to honor a friend of theirs. Their friend recently passed away and was in pursuit of his lifelong dream. He was headed to the Olympics. It was a goal that everyone knew he had been chasing.

This circle of friends are all athletes. The sports that they participate in are track and field, basketball and football. They have been working out and competing with each other for majority of their lives, so the idea hits different for each of them.

Steven was a shining example of putting your best foot forward. They all admired that one crucial thing about him, and if you add in Steven's untimely death, they all felt compelled to pick up the torch and take on the journey to the Olympics.

Of course, each of them are in different places in their lives, and the idea is not a slam dunk for all of them. In fact, there is a little resistence from a couple of friends in the group.

As the idea sits in their minds, they all begin to feel the desire to chase after this common goal. Those who are really feeling the concept of going to the Olympics are encouraging the ones who were sitting on the fence. The momentum begins to care through the team and everyone they come in contact with feels that energy. They are close to hetting where they all need to be ~ A Mile Away from success.
