D. Barnes

D. Barnes (Darrin Barnes) is a very creative and driven individual. He is the driving force behind the production company Mirror Immage Entertainment; in fact, Mirror Immage is his brain-child.

D. Barnes started with his first love. He started his career in entertainment with being a party/club dj. At the age of 16, D. Barnes was working around LA with names like the Jammin' Gemini, Magic Mike, and Uncle Jamm's Army. A few older djs gave D. Barnes the nickname Dymond. They said he would cut (scratch) anything on a record. D. Barnes soon moved his skills to radio. In broadcasting, D. Barnes has had the opportunity to work with radio heavies like Frankie Ross and Greg Mack. Radio opened doors for him so he could play around in nightclubs, stadium, and arenas around the globe.

Knowing the science of audio allowed D. Barnes to dab in the world of television. D. Barnes learned quite a few things; from boom mic operation to technical direction on the floor and in the booth, by working around the city of Los Angeles and Burbank on a multitude of audio/visual projects ~ from a simple video shoot to working on location for a feature. All of those opportunities gave way to D. Barnes second love, cameras (photography). Camera operator jobs were offered and D. Barnes did not hesitate to take advanatge. This allowed for great education of the ins and outs of the entertainment industry from a behind the scenes perspective.

Besides participating in entertainment, D. Barnes took the time to study computer science at Arizona State University. He was gifted with the knowledge of coding and other technologies. While in school, D. Barnes was inroduced to theatrical performance and theater life. He was bitten by the bug. And years later, D. Barnes finds himself working on entertainment projects. He has found a home in the entertainment world. His production company is proof of that. D. Barnes has developed a service company that can offer audio/visual services to craft services.

With over 40+ years involved in entertainment and business, D. Barnes has maintained his skills, and has aided and tutored countless individuals walking through the Mirror Immage Entertainment doors.
