Man vs Adult Male: There is a difference.

In quite a few conversations, whether in person or online, you hear the word 'man' to refer to an adult male as part of a topic. ie. "A real Man will do..." or "A Man is going to..."

There are a few things that draw some attention to those types of statements. First, there are so many males on the planet that you can not assume all are the same or will exhibit the exact same mannerisms as the next.

Another point of observation, the majority of these types of statements seem to come from a female's point of view. That is so very welcome to this conversation, however I would have to ask, what is the female sample size? 10 men? 20 men? 50 men? 100 men? Wouldn't it be fair and more acturate to say 'from the males that I have encountered in my life' versus 'all men are a certain way'?

But I digress...

I would say that the main subject is glazed over and matter-of-factly mentioned. The subject of being a man is abused in today's conversations. It appears that when a human male reaches a certain age, our society begins to call him a man. So many adult males are being looked at as men ~ and they really are not men. They are exactly what they are; adult males.

I am not taking anything away from anyone. I am not trying to put anyone down. There are some great fellas out here and they are doing some nice things in their lives.

Let's put it out there. There are adult males in society that can knock you out with one punch. They are capable and are making babies. Adult male does not mean a little boy. An adult male is capable of doing some of the same things that a man can do.

There are fellas who maintain their worldly elements such as where they live, what they drive, where they work and so on. Quite a few guys have their lives pretty much in a better place in comparison to others.

So yeah, there are some great fellas out here. They have been good to themselves, but are the people around these adults males doing better in their lives because they know these adult males? Have any of these adult males introduced any form of improvement into the lives they have come in contact with? Is anyone any better off for knowing these adult males.

The main difference between being an adult male and being a man is quite simply this; one wants to be serviced and the other wants to be of service.
